Lee Sterry Sports’ Coaching was founded in 2006 by Lee Sterry. Lee’s aim is to provide a professional coaching and teaching service to develop young players of all ages and abilitys at grass roots level and academy level. Lee provides in school, after school, weekly and holiday courses within Newcastle Upon Tyne and surrounding areas. Working closely to develop coaches and teachers .
Lee’s programmes aim to develop a healthy lifestyle for young children in a fun environment learning locomotion skills, coordination, physical fitness and technical skills whilst also developing personal skills such as communication, confidence and team work in a safe, fun and friendly environment.
Lee Sterry Sports Coaching has strong links with local schools in the Newcastle area working in conjunction to compliment the PE curriculam and to provide a variety of sports coaching to all ages from primary to secondary schools.
Lee has 10 years experience working with young children from the ages of 4 to 16
and youth players 17 – 19 and also adult player’s. Lee currently holds professional coaching certificates and is currently a UEFA B qualified coach.Lee also has CRB approval and holds first aid and child protection certificates. Lee has cover with public liability insurance for the sports coaching company.
Lee first started off coaching for the Newcastle Football Development Scheme and has worked on the advanced programme for 5 years.
Lee has had vast experience working with advanced and also academy players from all ages 8s – 19s.
Lee is also part of coaching staff at Gateshead College, Coaching and Developing youth players. Lee also coaches and manages Northumbria University Football Team and has been part of this team since 1999 progressing and developing youth and adult players.
